We will begin by applying a topical anesthetic before commencing your treatment. We will then begin by injecting a small amount of Botox into your desired areas. You might experience a slight tingling or pinching sensation when the needle is inserted.

As the Botox begins to work, it will relax the facial muscles. The entire procedure is over in just a few minutes.

While you should be able to resume normal activities, you should still take note of a few guidelines after the procedure.

• Try to avoid touching or rubbing the area where you received the injections for at least 24 hours.

Of course, with any medical procedure, there are risks to consider, but adverse side effects to Botox injections are few and far between. Most people who experience a reaction to Botox, like a mild headache or nausea, usually have that issue resolve itself within 24 hours.

While everybody has a different pain threshold, the needles used to administer Botox are tiny, so there should be minimal levels of discomfort. If you are concerned about the pain, you can take pain medication like Tylenol about an hour before your procedure.
